hello my name is Richard
im in my very first teaching position
i sometimes find it very hard :D
im doing and apprenticeship child and youth worker course
through Mohawk College
my placement position is in an elementary school and im actually doing more work than the actual teacher
any advice that anyone could give would be very helpful especially if it deals with how to get all of the grade 7 and 8 girls off my back!!! lol

About the teaching questions, I think being a teacher is probably the hardest job to have, but also the most rewarding.

I went to school to be a preschool teacher, I want to get them while they're young to implant the idea of learning to be a fun thing to do. I love children but found that trying to get them to agree with the teacher is a rough task.

I wish you luck with your new found career and the only advice I can give is to try your hardest to make learning fun. I'd love to advance my education to become a kindergarten teacher but have my hands full at the moment. Eventually I will open up my own daycare and then maybe continue my education after that. the biggest problem of being a teacher though is the pay is not as much as the work performed, and when do teachers actually get a break when there's constant planning and marking.
