my placement position is in an elementary school and im actually doing more work than the actual teacher

Hi there Richard, and welcome to the forum. I hope you find everything you need here and have fun!!!!!
About the teaching questions, I think being a teacher is probably the hardest job to have, but also the most rewarding.
I went to school to be a preschool teacher, I want to get them while they're young to implant the idea of learning to be a fun thing to do. I love children but found that trying to get them to agree with the teacher is a rough task.
I wish you luck with your new found career and the only advice I can give is to try your hardest to make learning fun. I'd love to advance my education to become a kindergarten teacher but have my hands full at the moment. Eventually I will open up my own daycare and then maybe continue my education after that. the biggest problem of being a teacher though is the pay is not as much as the work performed, and when do teachers actually get a break when there's constant planning and marking. All my best! |
